Bringing Your Relationships Back to Life!
Marla and Dave revisit the journey of their son’s recovery, after a year of sobriety from his Heroin addiction.
In May of 2008 we had our son, D.J., on our show during one of his many recovery efforts, speaking in his own words about the dangers of drugs. If you want to understand the mind of an addict, you need to hear straight from the horse’s mouth.
Today’s show is a one hour interview with Susan Klimusko who suffered the loss of her youngest son Austin (23) due to a Heroin overdose. After her great loss in January 2012, Susan poured her energy into rallying her community to better drug awareness and recovery efforts. The alarming rate of heroin addiction and fatalities in the small suburban city of Simi Valley, Ca could no longer be ignored. Please take a listen to a mother who has waged war against drugs in her community.
Lynda and her family lost their son and brother Eli to a Heroin overdose in 2009. Linda quickly found out that when you lose a loved one to a drug overdose, many support and help groups aren’t able to address some of the issues that grieving families are facing. Working through her loss daily inspired Lynda to start a support group to do just that, “support surviving family members who have suffered the loss of their loved ones due to addiction!” Tune in today to hear Lynda’s story!
Recovering from drug addiction IS possible. Tune in today and hear from those who have beat drug addiction and find out how they did it.
